Purchase Policy

Effective: 02 January 2025

Governing Law: Victoria, Australia

At eventflo, our goal is to make your ticketing experience simple, fair and transparent. Whether you're securing your spot through a pre-authorised ballot or during a general sale, this policy outlines how purchases work, how refunds are handled, and how we uphold your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under law.

1. WHO YOU'RE BUYING FROM

eventflo sells tickets on behalf of event organisers, promoters, and venues ("Organisers"). While we facilitate ticket sales, we are not responsible for the delivery or performance of the event itself. Tickets are a licence to attend, subject to this policy and any terms set by the Organiser or venue.

2. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Under the ACL, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or compensation if the event is not delivered with due care or as described. This policy supports those entitlements and may provide additional rights, depending on the situation.

3. TICKET PRICING & FEES

  1. Ticket prices are set by the Organiser and may vary depending on demand or release tier.
  2. eventflo may charge service, listing or delivery fees - all of which are shown before you confirm your order.
  3. Prices are listed in AUD and include GST where applicable.

4. AVAILABILITY & PURCHASE LIMITS

Tickets are often limited and may sell out quickly. Some sales may include ticket caps per person or household. Your purchase is only confirmed once payment is successfully processed.

5. PRE-AUTHORISED BALLOT SYSTEM

Some events use a Pre-Authorised Ballot system for early access:

  1. Pre-Auth does not guarantee ticket allocation. It simply means you've authorised a payment in advance for a chance to be allocated tickets via a random ballot.
  2. If you're successful, your card is charged, and you'll receive your tickets.
  3. If you're unsuccessful, no charge is processed.
  4. You will be notified via email or SMS whether you've received tickets or not shortly after the ballot is run.
  5. Pre-authorisation ensures fairness and prevents first-come-first-served pressure.

Important: The Pre-Auth system may trigger visible pending charges or holds. These are released if no tickets are allocated.

BALLOT EXCLUSION CRITERIA

Registration for the Pre-Authorised Ballot does not guarantee entry into the ballot process. You may be excluded from the ballot or have your entry deemed invalid for any of the following reasons (non-exhaustive list):

Payment & Card Issues:

  1. Payment method declined or failed during pre-authorisation
  2. Insufficient funds available on payment method
  3. Card blocked, frozen, or restricted by issuing bank
  4. 3D Secure authentication failure or timeout
  5. Expired payment method
  6. Pre-authorisation limits exceeded
  7. Payment method flagged for suspicious activity

Technical & System Issues:

  1. Incomplete registration or missing required information
  2. System errors or technical failures during registration
  3. Multiple registrations from the same person/payment method
  4. Registration submitted outside specified time windows

Compliance & Verification Issues:

  1. Failure to meet event eligibility requirements (age, location, etc.)
  2. Unable to verify identity or payment method ownership
  3. Suspected fraudulent or automated registration attempts
  4. Violation of terms and conditions or purchase limits

Organiser Discretion: The event organiser reserves absolute discretion to exclude any registration from the ballot for any reason, including but not limited to operational requirements, technical limitations, or compliance with venue/regulatory requirements.

REMEDIAL ACCESS: Where technically feasible and at the sole discretion of the organiser, individuals excluded from the ballot may be provided with an opportunity to purchase tickets through a separate access link with unique code. This remedial access is not guaranteed and is subject to ticket availability and organiser capacity.

6. DELIVERY

  1. Tickets are delivered digitally via your eventflo account or email.
  2. If physical delivery is offered, postage charges may apply.
  3. If there's an issue on our end (e.g. delivery error), we'll work to resolve it quickly.
  4. Ensure your contact details are correct to avoid missed deliveries.

7. TICKET TRANSFERS

Tickets can be transferred via your eventflo account unless otherwise restricted by the Organiser. If transferred, the original purchaser remains the point of contact and is the only party eligible for a refund (if applicable).

8. REFUNDS & EVENT CHANGES

8.1 Cancelled Events

If an event is cancelled, you're entitled to a refund of the ticket price and any fees (unless the service-like delivery-was already completed).

8.2 Rescheduled Events

Your ticket will remain valid for the new date. If you can't attend, you may request a refund within the timeframe communicated.

8.3 Changed Events

Minor changes (e.g., support acts) do not trigger refunds. For major changes (e.g., headliner cancellation), you may be eligible for a refund.

9. LOST OR DAMAGED TICKETS

We may be able to reissue tickets if they're lost or deleted, provided we can verify the original purchase. We cannot assist with tickets obtained outside the official eventflo platform.

10. LIABILITY & RISK

  1. eventflo is not liable for an organiser's event performance or changes to the event.
  2. Travel, accommodation or other personal costs are incurred at your own risk.
  3. Our maximum liability is capped at the ticket price and applicable fees, unless otherwise required by law.
  4. Attending an event involves risks. Follow all venue protocols and public health advice.

11. ACCOUNT USE & SECURITY

You're responsible for your eventflo login. We may suspend or cancel accounts that are linked to fraud, abuse or misuse.

12. PROMOTIONS, MARKETING & RESALE

  1. Tickets must not be used for promotions, contests, or giveaways without written approval from eventflo or the Organiser.
  2. We do not guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased outside of eventflo.
  3. Tickets purchased via eventflo are non-transferable for resale purposes and may not be resold under any circumstances, including via third-party platforms.
  4. Where a ticket is identified as having been resold through a third party, that ticket may be cancelled and voided immediately, without prior notice, communication, or refund, and will no longer be valid for entry.
  5. Resale is only permitted where the Organiser has enabled the eventflo Marketplace for that event. If Marketplace resale is not activated, purchased tickets cannot be resold or transferred. Limits apply to prevent scalping and ensure fair access.

13. DELIVERY ISSUES & REFUNDS

If postal delivery fails due to incorrect details entered by you, we're not responsible for replacement or refunds. Always check your information during checkout. Refunds (where applicable) are issued to the original payment method.

14. VENUE RULES & ENTRY CONDITIONS

Venues may enforce bag checks, item restrictions or security screenings. Entry may be refused for violating these rules, and no refund is required in such cases. All guests must hold a valid ticket.

15. RECORDING & MEDIA CONSENT

By attending an event, you consent to your image being captured and used in event content. Use of personal recording devices may be restricted.
